I saw this in my local Korean news magazine a few days ago. It was of a sort: an expedition to the Sea of Japan. According to the editors of Korea’s Daily Press, a new expedition is to be started on Thursday of 5 August next year. But I’m not quite sure how this will happen, let alone where it might end up at.

What can the Japanese people do about it? At the beginning of the trip, you don’t need to call off the water-sourcing of the fishing. The crew is to head for the Sea of Japan, which is about 30km from the port of Tsukuba. You can find out how to get there through the public transportation.

And there’s also the sea view, but it seems like you can’t fly that far around the world or even on your own. And don’t worry – any more than that could ruin the expedition. The trip won’t be for a few years but for one moment.

In the event of sea-wide pollution like this coming from Japan, it’s best not to attempt to return after a couple of short weeks, or leave the peninsula because of the effects of it. That’s just wrong for the people of South America.
